I work with a maximum of ten families

I began tutoring students a couple years into my Ph.D. at UCLA, where I also taught for many years. Recently, my focus has been on building mutual respect between people of different religious traditions. But I’ve always loved teaching young students, and refuse to give up on making an impact in the lives of individuals. I teach them everything I know about business, leadership, religion, literature, grammar, testing, college applications, scholarships, and more.

I’ve never lost my joy to teach young minds. Now, I only have enough time to work with a maximum of a ten families a year. Most of my students have been with me for years. They boast of admissions to some of the best high schools and universities in the country.

Additionally, involving students in the test design process provides a unique approach to testing, evaluating comprehension while nurturing critical thinking and analytical skills.

Through the integration of these pedagogical principles, my goal is to equip students not only with subject knowledge but also essential lifelong learning skills, encouraging autonomy, critical thinking, and effective study habits.

How I Teach

  • Organization

Keeping life organized is key to self-discipline and better learning. I get students organized early to help them make the most of their study time.

  • Knowledge

Students learn when the teacher doesn’t give all the answers. My students guide the class through critical questions arising from coursework. Lecture + media + academic reading and writing.

  • Virtue

Knowledge is not enough. Students must also exemplify moral virtue in the pursuit of excellence. They learn to connect knowledge to personal experience to become better contributors to their families and society.
